Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school setting.
• Strong understanding of world religions, ethics and philosophy.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to create a positive, well-managed classroom.
• DBS with Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Commitment to helping every student achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Guide students as they explore religious, ethical and philosophical ideas.
• Create a safe and inclusive environment for lively discussion, debate and independent thinking.
• Design inspiring lessons that spark curiosity, empathy and understanding of different perspectives.
• Celebrate students’ progress, monitor achievement and provide constructive, meaningful feedback.
• Promote the school's values, inclusion and sense of community.
• Contribute to departmental initiatives and extracurricular activities.
