Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a reflective and passionate Religious Education teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in South West London. You will guide students through world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical thinking across KS3 and KS4.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, a degree in a related field, and experience teaching RE at KS3/KS4. DBS checks are expected or a willingness to obtain one, with a competitive salary and strong professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy or related field.
• Experience teaching RE at KS3 & KS4.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver thoughtful and inclusive RE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Encourage open-minded discussions on moral, spiritual, and cultural topics.
• Promote critical thinking and respect for diverse beliefs and values.
• Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
• Contribute to whole-school events, assemblies, and enrichment activities related to ethics and social responsibility.
