Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a Maths Teacher for a Borehamwood secondary school starting in September. You will plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons, assess student progress, and foster a supportive classroom environment that develops problem-solving and confidence in students.

The ideal candidate holds QTS, has UK secondary maths experience, and demonstrates strong behaviour management and safeguarding knowledge. Competitive pay and local consultant support are provided.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for teaching Maths in UK secondary schools.
• Experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school setting with strong classroom practice.
• Demonstrates excellent behaviour management and pupil safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Maths lessons across the secondary curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress to inform planning and teaching.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs and abilities.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, carers and colleagues.
• Contribute to enrichment activities, clubs, trips and school events.
• Uphold safeguarding and promote student wellbeing in all lessons.
