Job summary

Sidney Stringer Academy in Coventry is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support, monitor, and track the progress of targeted students across key stages. You will work under the guidance of the Assistant Principal for Inclusion within a Trust of five schools and contribute to inclusive education.

The role requires good numeracy and literacy, demonstrated experience with children, and a calm, patient approach. A commitment to safeguarding and National Curriculum understanding is expected.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy/literacy skills.
• Evidence of qualifications in this area.
• Evidence of having worked with children.
• A positive interest in working with students.
• Basic understanding of child development and learning.
• Knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of legislation.
• General understanding of National Curriculum and other basic learning programmes.
• High expectations of achievement and behaviour.
• Ability to work calmly and with patience.
