Job summary

South Essex Colleges Group is seeking a motivated Lecturer to join our Foundation and Supported Learning team, supporting students with SEND to build confidence, life and digital skills, and workplace readiness.

You will plan engaging lessons, adapt materials for diverse needs, and work with parents, support staff, and employers to enable progression into further education or employment. Salary depends on teaching qualification held.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with SEND including autism, social and mental health needs.
• Strong understanding of preparation for adulthood and inclusive teaching practices.
• Good IT and digital skills to support teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching to Entry Level to Level 1 learners in Foundation and Supported Learning.
• Support students to develop employability, independence, and life skills.
• Plan and deliver lessons with inclusive strategies and differentiated materials.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and external partners to support progression.
• Promote wellbeing, engagement, and progression into further education or employment.
