Job summary

Newbury College is seeking a dedicated Foundation Learning Tutor to join our High Needs department, supporting learners with profound to moderate learning disabilities and behavioural needs. You will plan, prepare, and deliver an aspirational curriculum for Pre-Entry to Level 1 learners, building confidence, independence and essential skills.

You will lead on Education, Health and Care (EHC) reviews for your caseload, work with a committed team, and contribute to inclusive, SEN-aligned

Qualifications

• A related degree or qualification at least one level above what you will teach.
• English and Maths at Level 2.
• Experience teaching or supporting learners with profound to moderate learning difficulties and behavioural needs.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Ability to differentiate effectively and work confidently with EHC Plans.
• Has a positive, flexible and compassionate approach

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver a purposeful and aspirational curriculum for learners with complex needs.
• Lead on Education, Health and Care (EHC) reviews for your caseload.
• Collaborate with tutors and support staff to ensure engaging, inclusive programmes.
• Contribute to SEN developments and ongoing professional development within a supportive environment.
