  • Support students to develop employability skills, independence, communication, social interaction, and preparation for adulthood.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate functional skills, digital literacy, and vocational learning opportunities.
  • Develop and implement inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated learning materials tailored to meet a range of individual learning needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, confidence, and personal development, enabling students to progress into further education, supported internships, employment, or independent living pathways.
  • Foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement, achievement, and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with parents/carers, support staff, external agencies, and employers to ensure students receive effective support and meaningful progression opportunities.

  • A strong understanding of preparation for adulthood, employability pathways, and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Good IT and digital skills, with the ability to use educational technology and digital platforms to support teaching and learning.
