Job summary

Leading Preparatory School in Birmingham is seeking a committed EYFS Practitioner to support early years education for children aged 4 to 11. You will work with the Early Years team to deliver engaging activities, nurture development and build strong family partnerships.

The role requires a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) and Paediatric First Aid. A permanent full-time contract is offered with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• High-class delivery of Early Years Education.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
• Experience in a similar setting.
• Experience of working with children in a voluntary capacity.
• Experience of working with children beyond an Early Years setting.
• Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare and Paediatric First Aid.

• Work with the Early Years team to deliver engaging activities and experiences that spark curiosity, creativity and development.
• Build strong relationships with children and families, recognizing parents and carers as partners in learning.
• Observe and share children’s achievements, contributing to assessments and learning journeys.
• Prepare and maintain stimulating learning environments, displays and materials.
• Support nursery operations, including staffing ratios and daily routines.
• Champion equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring every child participates fully.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through events and collaboration with the Early Years team.
