Job summary

CS UK Recruitment Ltd is seeking an EYFS Practitioner for a leading preparatory school in Birmingham. You will join a dedicated Early Years team to deliver engaging activities and support a nurturing learning environment for children aged 4–11.

Role requires Level 3 in Early Years Childcare or equivalent with Paediatric First Aid. Salary up to £27,358.50 per annum, paid monthly, with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• A proven record of high-class delivery of Early Years Education.
• Outstanding knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
• Experience of working in a similar setting.
• Experience of working with children in a voluntary capacity.
• Experience of working with children beyond an Early Years setting.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing, inspiring and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to thrive.
• Work alongside the Early Years team to deliver engaging activities and experiences that spark curiosity, creativity and development.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families, recognising parents and carers as key partners in each child's learning journey.
• Observe, celebrate and share children's achievements, contributing to assessments, learning journeys and individual development.
• Prepare and maintain stimulating, welcoming learning environments, including resources, classroom displays and learning materials.
• Support the smooth and safe running of the nursery, including staffing ratios, playtimes, lunchtimes and before- and after-school care when required.
• Champion equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring every child feels respected, represented and able to participate fully.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including events, productions, Open Days, staff development and collaborative work with the Early Years team.
