Job summary

Bury College is seeking a Lecturer in Art & Design on a fixed-term basis until Easter 2027, with potential for extension. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching across the Art & Design provision and supporting learners' progression into further study or creative careers.

You will plan engaging lessons, develop schemes of work and resources, use a range of assessment strategies, and act as a Personal Tutor while contributing to curriculum development and college-wide

Qualifications

• You will have a degree or equivalent qualification in Art & Design, or a related subject, together with experience of successfully teaching Art & Design or a related programme.
• Strong assessment and feedback skills.
• Experience of developing effective schemes of work and lesson plans.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, inclusive and inspiring teaching and learning across Art & Design provision.
• Plan and deliver effective lessons, develop schemes of work and learning resources.
• Provide formative and summative assessment with SMART feedback and targets.
• Support Personal Tutor responsibilities and student progression.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment and learner progress.
• Ensure safeguarding and equality, diversity and inclusion are embedded.
