Job summary

Coleg Gwent in Wales is seeking an Additional Support Assistant to help learners with additional learning needs access the curriculum. This part-time post is 16.5 hours per week during term time, with hours 9:00 to 16:30.

You will support learners on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, working closely with curriculum and campus support teams. Applicants should have Level 2 with GCSEs including Maths and English and prior experience with young people who have difficulties or disabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with learners who have difficulties or disabilities.
• Educated to Level 2 with GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Welsh language basics desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support learners on a 1:1 basis and in groups.
• Provide personal care when needed.
• Collaborate with curriculum and campus support teams.
