Job summary

Coleg Gwent in Cwmbran is seeking an inspiring Additional Support Assistant to help learners with additional learning needs access the curriculum. You will support learners 1:1 and in groups, including personal care when needed, working with curriculum and campus support teams to help learners reach their full potential.

The ability to use Welsh at a basic level is desirable, and applications may be submitted in Welsh as well as English.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners with difficulties or disabilities.
• Level 2 standard with four GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above.
• Willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS check and EWC registration.

Responsibilities

• Support learners on a 1:1 basis and in group settings.
• Provide personal care when needed and work with curriculum and campus support teams.
