Coleg Gwent in Cwmbran is seeking an inspiring Additional Support Assistant to help learners with additional learning needs access the curriculum. You will support learners 1:1 and in groups, including personal care when needed, working with curriculum and campus support teams to help learners reach their full potential.
The ability to use Welsh at a basic level is desirable, and applications may be submitted in Welsh as well as English.

Applicants should have previous experience of working with young people who have difficulties and/or disabilities and be educated to Level 2 standard with four GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above.
The successful candidates will be required to support learners on a 1:1 basis, including providing personal care when needed, as well as work with learners on a group basis, working closely with the curriculum and campus support teams to ensure the learners meet their full potential.
The ability to use the Welsh language at a basic level (or willingness to undertake training) is desirable.
