Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd in Havering is seeking a passionate Special Needs Assistant to support a pupil on a 1-1 basis in a mainstream school. You will help the child participate in age-appropriate learning activities and work with the teacher to adapt approaches.

You will also assist with personal care where needed and coordinate with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent support and safeguarding for the pupil.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and training for this role.
• Experience supporting pupils in mainstream education.
• DBS check and safeguarding training are required.

Responsibilities

• Support a pupil on a 1-1 basis within a mainstream setting.
• Help the pupil engage in age-appropriate learning activities.
• Use a range of approaches under teacher guidance to support learning.
• Provide personal care where required and work with the multidisciplinary team.
