Job summary

Lees Brook Academy is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to supervise students during a pre-set learning activity and assist teaching staff with lesson planning and resource preparation. You will establish productive relationships with students, support behaviour management, record attendance, assist with exams, and provide general clerical/administrative help.

Flexibility to attend after-school meetings is required.

Qualifications

• Assist teaching staff in lesson planning and resource preparation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during pre-set learning activities in the absence of a teacher.
• Establish productive working relationships with students and model high expectations.
• Record and report attendance in accordance with academy procedures.
• Explain and respond to students about tasks and expectations.
• Manage behaviour to maintain a constructive learning environment and liaise with parents as required.
• Provide general clerical/administrative support and assist with testing or invigilations.
• Provide first aid assistance to staff, students and visitors as needed.
• Attend after-school meetings or subject team/year group meetings.
