Key duties and responsibilities

  • Manage a mixed case load of insolvency appointments and assist team members
  • Administer insolvency cases from advice to closure, including Administrations, CVLs, MVLs, Liquidations, CVAs, and sometimes Bankruptcies
  • Handle creditors’ claims, including secured, preferential, and unsecured claims
  • Report to secured creditors
  • Assist in ongoing trading on site as needed
  • Prepare documentation for statutory meetings
  • Help employees with claims and liaise with redundancy payments services
  • Handle daily correspondence, including non-standard ones
  • Maintain accurate books, records, and inventories, ensuring their safekeeping and storage
  • Conduct statutory investigations and pursue antecedent transactions
  • Complete banking and cheque forms to manage estate monies correctly
  • Prepare VAT and Corporation tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, including SIPS
  • Maintain and update case tasks and diaries
  • Coordinate with professional agents, solicitors, and accountants
  • Prepare supporting documents for sales
  • Update case checklists and attend meetings as required
  • Participate in marketing events and support team training

Reporting, relationships & management

  • Support and train staff, delegate tasks
  • Assist other case executives
  • Report case progress to IP

Qualifications & experience

  • AAT or CPI qualification is advantageous
  • Experience with corporate insolvency appointments in an IP firm is required
  • Knowledge of IPS Cloud is advantageous
  • Proficient in IT, especially Excel, Word, and IPS
  • Maintain high professional standards
  • Stay updated with legislation and best practices
  • Organize and manage time effectively, be flexible
  • Communicate clearly and confidently
  • Maintain professionalism and interpersonal skills
  • Manage workload responsibly and meet deadlines
  • Keep IP informed of case progress
  • Show enthusiasm and commitment
  • Promote the firm positively at networking events
