To work within a team to ensure an efficient and professional delivery of corporate and personal insolvency services to clients.

Key duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for a mixed case load of formal insolvency appointments, and assisting others within the team
  • Administer insolvency cases from initial advice to case closure, including Administrations, CVLs, MVLs, Liquidations, CVAs, and occasionally, Bankruptcies
  • Address and adjudicate creditors’ claims, including retention of title, secured, preferential, and unsecured claims
  • Report to secured creditors
  • Assist team in continuing to trade on site where required
  • Prepare documentation for statutory meetings
  • Assist employees with claims and liaise with redundancy payments service
  • Handle day-to-day correspondence, including non-standard communication
  • Maintain accurate books and records, and ensure their safekeeping and storage
  • Carry out statutory investigations and pursue antecedent transactions
  • Manage estate monies through banking and cheque requests
  • Complete VAT and Corporation tax returns
  • Adhere to statutory compliance and current legislation, including SIPS
  • Maintain and update IPS case tasks/diaries
  • Coordinate with professional agents, solicitors, and accountants
  • Prepare supporting documents for sale contracts
  • Update and maintain case checklists
  • Attend and assist at meetings as required
  • Participate in marketing events
  • Delegate work and support junior staff

Reporting, relationships & management

  • Support and train staff, delegate tasks
  • Assist other case executives
  • Report case progress to IP

Qualifications & experience

  • AAT or CPI preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience with corporate formal insolvency appointments within an IP firm required
  • Knowledge of IPS Cloud advantageous but not mandatory
  • Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, & IPS
  • High professional standards and conduct
  • Self-motivated, proactive with legislation updates
  • Organized, flexible, and effective time management
  • Strong communication skills and professional manner
  • Responsible, attentive to quality and deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and committed to tasks
  • Positive representation at networking events
