Key duties and responsibilities
- Manage a mixed case load of insolvency appointments and assist team members.
- Administer insolvency cases from advice to closure, including various types such as Administrations, CVLs, MVLs, Liquidations, CVAs, and occasionally, Bankruptcies.
- Handle creditors’ claims, including retention of title, secured, preferential, and unsecured claims.
- Report to secured creditors.
- Assist in ongoing trading operations on-site when required.
- Prepare documentation for statutory meetings.
- Assist employees with claims and liaise with redundancy services.
- Manage day-to-day correspondence and non-standard communications.
- Maintain and safeguard books, records, inventories, and handle their storage.
- Conduct statutory investigations and pursue antecedent transactions.
- Handle estate monies through banking and cheque requests.
- Complete VAT and Corporation tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, including SIPS.
- Maintain case tasks and diaries.
- Liaise with professional agents, solicitors, and accountants.
- Prepare supporting documents for sale contracts.
- Update case checklists and participate in meetings and marketing events.
- Delegate tasks and provide training/support to junior staff.
Reporting, relationships & management
- Support and train staff, delegate tasks.
- Assist other case executives.
- Report case progress to IP.
Qualifications & experience
- AAT or CPI qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience with corporate insolvency appointments within an IP firm is required.
- Knowledge of IPS Cloud is advantageous.
- Good IT skills: Excel, Word, IPS.
- High professional standards and proactive in updating knowledge.
- Organized, flexible, and communicative.
- Professional manner with good interpersonal skills.
- Responsible and deadline-oriented.
- Enthusiastic and committed.
- Active in promoting the firm at networking events.
