Job Description:

Key duties and responsibilities
  1. Manage a mixed case load of insolvency appointments and assist team members.
  2. Administer insolvency cases from advice to closure, including various types such as Administrations, CVLs, MVLs, Liquidations, CVAs, and occasionally, Bankruptcies.
  3. Handle creditors’ claims, including retention of title, secured, preferential, and unsecured claims.
  4. Report to secured creditors.
  5. Assist in ongoing trading operations on-site when required.
  6. Prepare documentation for statutory meetings.
  7. Assist employees with claims and liaise with redundancy services.
  8. Manage day-to-day correspondence and non-standard communications.
  9. Maintain and safeguard books, records, inventories, and handle their storage.
  10. Conduct statutory investigations and pursue antecedent transactions.
  11. Handle estate monies through banking and cheque requests.
  12. Complete VAT and Corporation tax returns.
  13. Ensure compliance with legislation, including SIPS.
  14. Maintain case tasks and diaries.
  15. Liaise with professional agents, solicitors, and accountants.
  16. Prepare supporting documents for sale contracts.
  17. Update case checklists and participate in meetings and marketing events.
  18. Delegate tasks and provide training/support to junior staff.
Reporting, relationships & management
  1. Support and train staff, delegate tasks.
  2. Assist other case executives.
  3. Report case progress to IP.
Qualifications & experience
  1. AAT or CPI qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  2. Experience with corporate insolvency appointments within an IP firm is required.
  3. Knowledge of IPS Cloud is advantageous.
  4. Good IT skills: Excel, Word, IPS.
  5. High professional standards and proactive in updating knowledge.
  6. Organized, flexible, and communicative.
  7. Professional manner with good interpersonal skills.
  8. Responsible and deadline-oriented.
  9. Enthusiastic and committed.
  10. Active in promoting the firm at networking events.
