Insight and Reporting Manager

£45,000 - £50,000 plus benefits

Reports to: Director of Strategic Transformation

Directorate: Chief Operating Office

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

Location: Stratford, London Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

We are looking for an Insights and Reporting Manager to join our Strategic Transformation Team at Cancer Research UK. In this role you will provide a regular, holistic view of CRUK's performance, incorporating strategy delivery through 3-year plan OKRs and change initiatives, as well as operational, financial, people and risk indicators. You will ensure that CRUK has robust indicators in place to measure the organisation's performance and you will provide a critical link into the relevant Directorate teams, ensuring that information gathering is timely, robust and results in the identification of meaningful insights. The Insights and Reporting Manager is a key role that will see you use your data, insight, and analytical skills to evidence the organisation's performance.

What will I be doing?

  • Working with relevant stakeholders and decision-makers to define/ refine measures of the organisation's performance including appropriate targets and RAG tolerances that indicate what good looks like
  • Run and improve processes to gather data and intelligence with and from teams across CRUK.
  • Commission and support further development of dashboards to improve the presentation, timeliness and accessibility of management information.
  • Produce robust quarterly reporting for key leadership teams, Executive Board and Trustees.
  • Work with other members of the Strategic Transformation team to ensure coherence of insights and messaging across operational performance and change reporting.
  • Support efforts to simplify and reduce duplication in insight and report creation across the organisation.
  • Shape and undertake more in depth analyses where needed e.g. to uncover causes of issues identified through reporting

What are you looking for?

  • Proven ability to work with organisational level complex data, to synthesise actionable insights to inform strategic delivery and decision making.
  • Experience of developing and producing compelling reports that convey management information in an impactful way to a range of audiences.
  • Experience of building and maintaining collaborative and influential relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong project manager with ability to manage deadlines and conflicting priorities, and work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and Power BI (or equivalent platforms with ability to adapt)
