Job summary

Westray Recruitment Consultants Ltd is seeking an Inside Sales professional to handle inbound inquiries, upsell, and deliver quotes and proposals from its Chester-le-Street office. The role offers a base salary of £30k–£33k DOE with strong bonus potential and a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will manage relationships with merchants, contractors and developers, deliver technical proposals, and drive quarterly targets while benefiting from the company’s training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Prior internal, technical or construction sales experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset.
• Confident telephone manner and IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound sales enquiries from merchants, contractors, developers and consultants.
• Generate quotations and technical proposals.
• Follow up quotations to maximise conversion.
• Identify new business opportunities within existing and prospective customers.
• Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business.
• Achieve and exceed quarterly sales targets.
• Keep up to date with industry developments and product innovations.
• Attend product and sales training sessions.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every interaction.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Resolve customer queries quickly and professionally.
• Maintain regular communication throughout the sales process.
• Support customers after delivery where required.
• Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM.
• Record all customer conversations and interactions.
• Upload emails and project documentation.
• Set follow-up tasks and next actions.
• Ensure opportunities are managed through the sales pipeline
