PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear, and PPE, is currently seeking applications for the position of Internal Sales Representative based in or near Thurnscoe. Portwest is one of the fastest-growing workwear companies worldwide, employing over 5,100 staff globally, with customer service teams in over 160 countries and 8 warehouses in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, UAE, USA, and Australia. We design, manufacture, and distribute market-leading workwear, safety wear, and PPE in fully owned production facilities.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time

REPORTS TO: Dawn Petty

JOB SUMMARY:

You will manage a range of customer accounts in this fast-paced internal sales role. You should be able to work independently and collaborate with the sales team to build upon the company’s success in the region.

  • Develop and manage new and low-spending accounts.
  • Identify new opportunities to deepen customer relations and develop existing accounts.
  • Provide a consultative sales service to customers, acting as an advisor to assist with their safety needs.
  • Liaise with customers via telephone, email, and video meeting platforms.
  • Provide relevant and accurate information to customers.
  • Maintain customer loyalty to Portwest.
  • Provide pricing and quotes.
  • Offer new and existing products, demonstrating how they meet safety needs.
  • Engage in customer development to identify growth opportunities.
  • Strive to meet and exceed monthly and annual targets.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Inside sales experience is desirable.
  • Experience liaising with customers in a commercial environment.
  • Knowledge of the PPE and workwear industry is an advantage but not essential.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to multi-task.
