Job summary

Cornwall Hospice Care Limited is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our In-Patient Specialist Palliative Care Unit under the supervision of the Senior Staff Nurse and Unit Sister. You will assess, develop, implement and evaluate patient care programmes to maintain high standards.

The role involves working nights, weekends and bank holidays with internal rotation and providing nursing support across the specialist palliative care service as required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse qualification at Diploma level is required.
• Post-qualification experience in palliative care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, implement and evaluate patient care programmes.
• Maintain agreed standards of care and participate in clinical audits.
• Work primarily within the In-patient specialist palliative care unit.
• Provide qualified nursing support to other areas of the specialist palliative care service.
• Be a team player delivering high standards of specialist palliative care to patients and families.
