Job summary

Miller & Carter Maidstone is seeking an overnight Guest Host to welcome late arrivals and ensure a safe, comfortable night for guests. The role includes front-of-house duties, setting up breakfast areas, and maintaining high standards across shifts from 11pm to 7am.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Provide a warm, friendly welcome to guests.
• Assist with front-of-house cleaning and breakfast area setup.
• Help prepare meeting rooms and breakfast for the next day.
• Maintain guest safety and security at all times, including fire evacuation procedures.
• Answer telephone inquiries and handle guest complaints with professionalism.
• Work independently and as part of a team, with a can-do attitude.

This is an overnight position, with shifts typically ranging from 11pm to 7am (depending on the site). Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process. WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE:

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• The role is varied and, depending on your site, may include: cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day
• You'll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly.
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay. Passionate about guest care
