Job summary

Azenta Life Sciences in Surrey seeks a Tool Technician to service and clean injection mould tools, dismantle for cleaning, inspect for issues, and reassemble for production. You may repair, calibrate tools, jigs, fixtures and instruments as needed, maintaining a clean, safe tool room environment.

Based in a rural site near Wotton with own transport required, you will work Mon-Fri 8am-4.30pm, supporting production and ensuring timely tool readiness for manufacturing schedules.

Qualifications

• C&G/NVQ/Apprenticeship trained in mechanical trades.
• Solid experience with mechanical assembly and disassembly.
• Experience with manual and CNC tools and reading drawings.
• Awareness of basic wiring and electrical concepts.
• Ability to work in a small team and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Daily servicing & cleaning of mould tools in the tool room or in the factory.
• Carrying out the repairs, modifications and servicing of injection moulding tools and other associated tooling.
• Document service & repair work by completing electronic records, including photographs of issues documented.
• On occasion support production by completing cleans or repairs in the clean room factory.
• To carry out, cleaning and servicing on other toolroom and production equipment as required from time to time.
• Assist in equipment repairs and breakdown if required.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
