Job summary

Azenta UK, Ltd. in Wotton is seeking a Production Technician to operate injection moulding lines, set up parameters, and ensure components meet quality standards. You will work closely with Mould Shop, Tool Room and QC, performing tool changes and documenting production activities.

You will uphold a clean, safe working environment on a rural site with on-site parking and use of standard office software. Experience with ISO 9001/13485 is valued and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

Production Technician

Wotton (RH5) | Full Time - On Site | Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mould tool changes in accordance with production schedules and operational requirements.
• Set up, monitor, and optimise injection moulding parameters to ensure the production of components that meet quality control standards.
• Support Mould Shop Supervisors in obtaining First-Off approval at the commencement of each production batch.
• Complete all required production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Liaise effectively with the Tool Room and Quality Control departments to support production activities and resolve any issues.
• Undertake additional duties as required to meet operational needs.
• Maintain and promote a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Extensive experience in injection moulding processes, including a thorough understanding of process parameters and optimisation.
• Proven experience in mould mounting using overhead gantry cranes and hoists.
• Strong understanding of mould tool construction, design, and architecture.
• Experience operating or working with six-axis robots is desirable.
• Good computer literacy, including proficiency in email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and document preparation.
• Experience working in cleanroom environments compliant with ISO 14644 standards.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and procedures aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds (approximately 25.0 kg) without assistance.
• Demonstrates integrity, reliability, initiative, and self-motivation.
• Effective communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
