Technique Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Toolroom Technician in Norwich, Norfolk, UK. The role focuses on maintenance, cleaning and basic repair of injection mould tools to ensure production readiness and tool performance.

Responsibilities include tool servicing, inspection, repairs and support for tooling changes. Must follow health and safety procedures and maintain accurate maintenance records. Onsite role with modern manufacturing facilities and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and workshop equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Desirable: Experience working with injection mould tools.
• Desirable: Knowledge of hot runner systems.
• Desirable: Overhead crane certification or experience.
• Desirable: Engineering or mechanical qualification.

Responsibilities

• Tool maintenance, cleaning and servicing of injection mould tools.
• Strip, inspect and reassemble tooling following procedures.
• Assist with mould changes and tooling preparation for production.
• Support preventative maintenance activities.
• Inspect tools for wear, damage and contamination; report faults.
• Replace worn components including seals, O-rings, pins and fittings.
• Carry out basic repairs, polishing and finishing work.
• Check cooling systems for leaks and blockages; ensure channels stay clean.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and complete records.
