Job summary

Amida Group in Gloucester is looking for an Infrastructure Project Engineer to enhance customer infrastructures. You will be responsible for delivering technical projects, working closely with the Sales team to recommend suitable products and services.

The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in IT support, formal IT qualifications, and a good understanding of Windows Server environments, networking, and cloud technologies. The job requires travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more experience working within an IT support environment or for a Managed Service Provider.
• Exposure to virtualization and cloud technologies including VMware, Hyper V, and Azure environments.
• Desire to learn new skills and gain relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Delivering technical projects according to the specifications and customer briefs.
• Providing support to resolve change management issues.
• Liaising with the Sales team to produce new business proposals.

Skills

Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server environments

Networking (HP, Cisco)

Good working knowledge of MS 365 Administration

Knowledge of structured and fibre cabling

Education

At least 1 formal IT qualification (e.g. CCNA, CompTIA, MSCA & MSCE)

Tools

Veeam backup

Firewalls (SonicWall, Sophos)

Antivirus configuration

AD, AAD, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy
