Job summary

Frontier Resourcing, on behalf of a leading defence technology organisation, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a permanent, onsite role in Gloucester. You will design, deploy and support secure infrastructure across complex programmes, operating within an Agile environment and contributing to mission-critical government projects.

Candidates must have experience in Agile/DevOps, Linux administration and enterprise server/storage, with current UK eDV clearance essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agile, Scrum or DevOps environments.
• Strong infrastructure or systems engineering background across the full lifecycle.
• Linux administration and deployment.
• Experience with enterprise server, storage and desktop infrastructure.
• Ability to own technical work packages and collaborate with project teams.
• Knowledge of large-scale, secure information systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support secure infrastructure and operational systems.
• Perform system administration, backup and recovery activities.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure, network and application issues.
• Support system installation, maintenance and ongoing improvements.
• Research and resolve complex technical and system design challenges.
• Translate technical requirements into robust infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
