Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Project Manager to drive delivery within the South West capital programme. You will oversee governance, safety and quality across the supply chain, coordinating with regional teams and external contractors from Bristol or Exeter offices.

You will manage programme delivery, reporting and risk, build strong stakeholder relationships and champion portfolio management best practices across Operations. Strong engineering background preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualification in engineering or proven delivery of complex projects.
• Experience with portfolio and programme management.
• Experience with NEC4 contracts.
• Knowledge of legislation and construction practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with management, stakeholders, suppliers to review delivery performance and prepare business cases.
• Programme management, financial reporting and risk management against budgets.
• Ensure governance, quality, health and safety across supply chain.
• Identify improvements and champion portfolio management best practices.
• Manage and resolve risks, issues, dependencies and constraints.
