Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Programme Delivery Manager to join the Bristol office. You will lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects in-year, ensuring outcomes, customer experience and safety standards are met, with strong budget and KPI alignment.

You will provide direction and line management to Project Managers, setting objectives, reviewing performance and developing successors, while focusing on safety and operational efficiency across the programme.

Qualifications

• Qualification in engineering discipline or extensive civil delivery experience.
• Up-to-date CDM and health and safety regulations knowledge.
• Understanding of Highways Construction & Maintenance practices.
• Experience in supplier and contract management.
• Experience delivering high-value capital investment programmes and portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a portfolio of projects within the Region's in-year capital programme.
• Ensure projects meet quality, cost and time parameters and safety standards.
• Manage capital expenditure budgets and reporting for all projects.
• Identify and implement efficiencies within own area of responsibility.
• Lead supplier performance oversight and manage risks to delivery.
