Job summary

National Highways in Bristol is seeking a Programme Delivery Manager to lead a portfolio of projects within the Region's in-year capital programme, ensuring outcomes, customer experience, quality, budgets, timescales and KPIs are met. You will provide direction and line management for a team of Project Managers, setting objectives, conducting performance reviews and developing succession plans.

The role emphasises safety, collaboration, and delivering high value infrastructure while maintaining

Qualifications

Recognised qualification in relevant engineering discipline or extensive civil delivery experience.
Up to date knowledge of CDM and health and safety regulations.
Knowledge of Highways Construction & Maintenance practices.
Extensive experience of managing high value capital investment programmes and project portfolios.

Responsibilities

Lead delivery of a portfolio of projects from detailed design to service introduction.
Ensure projects meet quality, cost, time targets and safety standards.
Manage capital expenditure budgets and financial practices across projects.
Identify and deliver efficiencies within own area.
Provide leadership and oversight of supplier performance and risk management.
