Job summary

AECOM is recruiting a Consultant Town Planner to deliver planning services for major infrastructure projects across the UK. The role supports hybrid working and can be based in Basingstoke or London Aldgate.

You will join a market-leading infrastructure planning team, assisting with planning applications, research, risk analysis, and coordination across multi-disciplinary teams. The role also involves business development and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Licentiate RTPI or equivalent, working towards full accreditation.
• Experience on major planning applications.
• Knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation.
• Experience with DCO/TWAO and EIA processes.
• Commercial awareness and ability to write clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and delivering major development applications.
• Provide planning advice to colleagues and clients, applying permitted development rights.
• Carry out planning research and analysis and identify planning risks.
• Prepare Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements for applications.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and support project management.
