Job summary

AECOM Infrastructure and Environment UK Limited is seeking a Senior Town Planner to join a national team with hybrid working options. The role offers exposure to major infrastructure projects and collaboration with diverse professionals across energy, transport and water sectors.

You will lead planning applications, provide expert advice, and manage stakeholder engagement from conception through consent. You will contribute to feasibility studies, planning strategies and commercial tenders,

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or related discipline (desirable).
• Membership of the RTPI or equivalent (desirable).
• Demonstrable experience of working on planning applications.
• Ability to write clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering major development applications by coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
• Provide planning advice on consent requirements and permitted development rights.
• Write Planning Statements and manage planning applications with local authorities.
• Collaborate with Environmental Impact Assessment team and stakeholders.
• Contribute to planning research, feasibility reports and consent strategies.

Education

Degree in Town Planning

RTPI membership desirable
