Job summary

VolkerStevin UK is seeking a motivated Planner to support delivery of major civil engineering projects from tender through to completion. You will develop tender programmes, monitor progress, and work with estimators and operational teams to optimise sequencing and methodologies.

The role requires strong planning software experience, collaboration, and an understanding of project controls. A proactive, detail‑oriented approach and ability to liaise with clients are essential.

Qualifications

• OND/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline (desirable).
• Experience using planning software and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of construction methods and project delivery processes.
• Understanding of programme risk management and project controls.
• Awareness of ECI processes and contract planning requirements.
• Experience with digital document management platforms such as Asite.

Responsibilities

• Develop tender programmes and planning deliverables in line with tender requirements.
• Identify programme constraints, risks, opportunities and contract requirements.
• Analyse quantities, resources and key project drivers affecting delivery.
• Collaborate with estimators and operations to develop methodologies and sequencing.
• Produce planning reports, presentations and tender documentation.
• Assist in assessing programme risks and mitigation strategies.
• Produce, maintain and update contract programmes and related schedules.
• Prepare monthly updates, reports and client submissions.
• Communicate programme information to teams and clients.
• Support change management, time-risk strategies and progress reviews.
