Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, is recruiting a Planning Manager to lead planning across a major marine and civil engineering project in Helensburgh and Glasgow. You will head a team of planners, driving programmes from tender through delivery while aligning with VolkerStevin standards.

You will manage risk, provide strategic planning insights to senior leadership, and collaborate with Estimators, operations, and bid managers to deliver robust, compliant programmes on a nationally

Qualifications

• A degree or HND in a relevant subject is desirable.
• Professional membership of RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE/CIBSE is beneficial.
• Significant experience in civil engineering, marine, infrastructure or major construction projects.
• Proven leadership experience managing planning teams.
• Strong expertise in programme management, risk management and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead all planning activities throughout the bid lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain compliant tender programmes.
• Identify programme constraints, risks, opportunities and contractual requirements.
• Establish construction methodologies, sequencing and delivery strategies.
• Work with estimators, operational teams and bid managers to develop robust programmes.
• Lead programme updates, dashboards and monthly reports.
• Monitor progress, productivity, change control and programme risk.
