Job summary

Searchability is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer in Birkenhead to own a broad MS-focused estate, including 365, Azure, Windows Server, AD and networking. The role involves hands-on problem solving and gradually taking on future cloud/DevOps direction.

You’ll work onsite five days a week in Birkenhead, with scope to influence infrastructure evolution and security, backups, and disaster recovery. Prioritise independent work and clear documentation.

Qualifications

Strong Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration experience.
Experience with Microsoft Azure administration and Windows Server.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and Hyper-V.
Networking fundamentals and VPNs, DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP.
Experience with backups, DR planning and infrastructure projects.
Comfortable working with documentation and cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

Own broad infrastructure areas, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server and networking.
Investigate issues, troubleshoot independently and drive to resolution.
Contribute to future hosting, cloud options and DevOps initiatives.
Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure with business goals.
