Technology Assurance Analyst

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and key technology projects, assessing business risks, especially across the change portfolio, providing insights to the Board and Senior Leadership to improve the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of sophisticated tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure within a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape and apply a risk-focused approach
• Conduct risk evaluations and assurance work on engineering functions
• Use creative testing strategies to generate data-driven insights
• Integrate data throughout the review process from planning to reporting
• Present risk summaries and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or above in Computer Science or similar
• Knowledge of modern software development methods like Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles within financial services
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Skilled in data analysis and problem-solving
• Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is a plus
