Technology Assurance Analyst

Hybrid / London office based

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and key technology projects, assessing business risks and providing insights to improve the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure in a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape with a risk-focused approach
• Conduct risk evaluations and assurance work on engineering functions
• Apply creative testing strategies to generate data-driven insights
• Integrate data throughout the review process from planning to reporting
• Present risk findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, 2:1 or above preferred
• Knowledge of modern software development methodologies like Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance functions within financial services
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Problem-solving skills with datasets and structured approaches
• Familiarity with analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) or Python is a plus
