Technology Assurance Analyst

Hybrid / London office based

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and technology projects, assessing key risk areas, especially within the change portfolio, providing insights to improve the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure in a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape with a risk-focused approach
• Conduct risk evaluations and assurance activities across engineering functions
• Apply creative testing strategies to generate data-driven insights
• Integrate data throughout the review process from planning to reporting
• Present risk findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or above in Computer Science or similar
• Knowledge of modern software development methods such as Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles within financial services
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving
• Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is a plus
