Technology Assurance Analyst

Hybrid / London office based

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and key technology projects. You will assess business risk areas, especially within the change portfolio, providing insights to improve the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure in a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape with a risk-focused approach
• Conduct risk evaluations across engineering functions
• Use creative testing strategies for data-driven insights
• Integrate data throughout the review process from planning to reporting
• Present summaries and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or above in Computer Science or similar
• Knowledge of modern software development methods like Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance functions within financial services
• Ability to work in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Problem-solving skills with datasets and structured approaches
• Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is a bonus
