Technology Assurance Analyst

Hybrid / London office based

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will review critical business processes and key technology projects, assessing risks and providing insights to improve the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure in a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape and apply a risk-focused approach
• Conduct risk evaluations across engineering functions
• Use creative testing strategies for insightful findings
• Integrate data into the review process from planning to reporting
• Present risk summaries and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or above in Computer Science or similar
• Knowledge of modern software development methods like Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles within financial services
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Proficiency with datasets and structured problem-solving
• Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is a plus
