Technology Assurance Analyst

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and key technology projects. Your role involves assessing business risks, especially in the change portfolio, providing insights to the Board and Senior Leadership to enhance business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of sophisticated tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure within a trading environment.
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape and apply a risk-focused approach.
• Perform risk evaluations across engineering functions.
• Implement creative testing strategies to generate data-driven insights.
• Integrate data throughout the review process, from planning to reporting.
• Present risk findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders clearly and concisely.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• Understanding of modern software development methods like Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles within financial services.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
• Proficiency with datasets and structured problem-solving.
• Knowledge of analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is advantageous.
