Technology Assurance Analyst

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and key technology projects, assessing business risks and providing insights to senior leadership to improve business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of sophisticated tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure in trading environments
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape and apply a risk-focused approach
• Conduct risk evaluations and assurance across engineering functions
• Develop creative testing strategies to generate data-driven insights
• Integrate data throughout the review process, including planning, reporting, and follow-up
• Present concise reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or above in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of modern software development methods such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles within financial services
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Problem-solving skills with datasets and structured approaches
• Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is a plus
