Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Engineer to keep our Lifton Mill running safely and efficiently. You will support the feed mill, ensuring reliability and high safety standards in a busy manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, fault diagnosis, and collaboration with colleagues to drive continuous improvement while upholding health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy manufacturing or similar environments.
• Knowledge of conveying systems and pneumatic systems.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety.
• Ability to work in dusty, noisy environments.

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Industrial Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Mole Valley Farmers. If you have experience in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment and want to take the next step in your career, this role offers the chance to make a real impact. About The Role

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Key responsibilities include

• Maintaining and repairing plant and mechanical equipment safely and efficiently
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs and routine servicing
• Supporting planned maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Reading and interpreting site drawings and project information
• Collaborating with colleagues to solve problems and share knowledge
• Promoting a strong safety culture and compliance with regulations

About You

• Previous experience in heavy manufacturing or similar environments (e.g., quarry works)
• Familiarity with conveying systems (screw conveyors, chain & flight conveyors, belt bucket elevators) and pneumatic systems
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety
• Good IT and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented
• Able to carry out tasks in a dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environment (reasonable adjustments available)
