Position Overview

Murray Cable is part of Finning (UK) Ltd, the UK and Ireland dealer for Cat machines, engines, equipment, and power solutions.

Working Schedule

Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Major Job Functions

• Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems and related equipment/lighting systems.
• Inspect and test components like transformers, transfer switches, and switchgear.
• Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals to complete projects.
• Survey electrical systems, circuits, and plans.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand and power tools; terminate power/control/monitoring wiring.

Knowledge and Experience

Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, work to BS 7671 (18th Edition) wiring regulations, and familiarity with NICEIC requirements. Qualifications include CSCS Electricians grade/JIB card, NVQ Level 3, Test & Inspection 2394/2395, full UK driver’s license, and experience with fire alarm installation and containment systems. Desirable qualifications include confined space, PASMA, MEWPs/IPAF, first aid, and CompEx training, along with SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
