AMP Clean Energy Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager for our Industrial Biomass team at Simpsons Site in Berwick-upon-Tweed. You will lead the on-site team, prioritise safety and compliance, and drive asset performance and reliability while controlling costs.

You will oversee operations, maintenance, and contractor activity, manage fuel supply and testing regimes, and ensure adherence to RHI and environmental requirements. A strong safety mindset and proven leadership are essential.

Competenze

• An experienced engineering professional with demonstrable experience of managing plant in a demanding industrial environment, combining strong technical knowledge with confident leadership and a clear focus on safety, reliability and operational performance.
• Demonstrable experience of managing heat generation, energy or process plant within a large industrial environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of steam and heat systems, plant controls and associated mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Demonstrable experience of managing planned and reactive maintenance, plant shutdowns, faults and operational issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.

• Maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and housekeeping including audits and risk assessments.
• Oversee maintenance, plant shut-downs, faults and asset spares management to maximise performance.
• Manage on-call rota and out-of-hours response for heating outages and emergencies.
• Oversee subcontractors delivering maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to required standards.
• Manage site budget for assets and control costs within approved budgets.
