Job summary

BWSC is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our biomass CHP plant in Cramlington. You will report to the Plant Manager and collaborate with the Operations Manager and QHSE Advisor to maintain safety, reliability and efficiency while upholding engineering integrity.

You will lead a maintenance team, plan outages, manage budgets and inventory, and deliver detailed technical reports. A strong mechanical/electrical/marine engineering background with CMMS and MS Office skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong technical education in mechanical, electrical or marine engineering with commercial exposure.
• Experience in the power industry in a managerial role, preferably biomass.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance teams and budgets; strong reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximise plant availability and reliability through proactive maintenance planning.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for boilers, turbines, generators and auxiliaries using CMMS.
• Lead maintenance team; manage performance and development; oversee budgets and inventory.
• Coordinate outages and ensure adherence to safety and environmental guidelines.
• Produce detailed technical reports on generation losses and incidents.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
