Job summary

LRQA seeks a Business Development Manager- Assessment to win new logos and drive project-based assessment work in the Industrial markets across the UK. Reporting to UKI Head of Sales, you will own the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to contract award, build senior-level relationships, and shape bids and pricing to maximise margins.

You will maintain a strong pipeline, forecast accurately, and represent LRQA at industry events and client workshops while delivering sustainable revenue

Qualifications

• Proven success in winning new logo business and securing assessment-led projects in the Industrial environment.
• Strong technical and commercial understanding of assessment/training opportunities.
• Experience selling into complex organisations.

Responsibilities

• Identify, target, and secure new logo clients for assessment services, with a strong focus on project-based opportunities.
• Develop and execute proactive business development strategies to penetrate this customer segment.
• Own the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through qualification, bid submission, negotiation and contract award.
• Build senior-level relationships with key stakeholders within target organisations.
• Lead and contribute to strategic bids and tenders, shaping technical scope, commercial strategy and value propositions.
• Collaborate with internal technical, operations, and delivery teams to ensure proposals are competitive, deliverable and margin-aligned.
• Maintain a robust new business pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
• Maintain CRM hygiene, forecast accurately and contribute to sales reporting.
• Represent the business at industry events, conferences and client workshops.
