Job summary

Norfolk County Council in Norwich is seeking an Independent Living Support Worker Level 1 to support young people in an independent living scheme. You will help develop independent living skills, contribute to plans, and attend reviews as required.

The role requires strong communication, organisational skills, and a willingness to learn. A Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare is funded for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience of support work in a care or housing setting.
• Clear and respectful communication with young people and families.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (RQF) fully funded.

Responsibilities

• Support young people to develop independent living skills.
• Assist with plans and implement them within the independent living scheme.
• Attend statutory reviews as required.
• Be a positive role model and build relationships with young people and families.
