Job summary

Norfolk County Council is hiring a Casual Independent Living Support Worker to support young people in a Supported Accommodation setting. You will help develop practical independent living skills, assist with day-to-day tasks, and participate in care planning and reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people
• Ability to build positive relationships and act as a role model
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good literacy, numeracy and computer skills, including MS Office and business systems
• Resilience, flexibility and ability to remain calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with young people and families
• Support development of independent living skills
• Guide day-to-day domestic and life management tasks
• Contribute to care planning and support delivery
• Maintain records and attend reviews and planning meetings
• Collaborate with social workers and accommodation providers
• Safeguard and promote welfare of children and young people
